Floor Rugs vs. Carpet in the Home

When you’re building or re-decorating your home, an important question will be whether to install wall-to-wall carpeting or use floor rugs to brighten and soften your living spaces.
Here at Floor Rugs Australia, of course we are inclined to recommend the latter, and here are a few good reasons why!
1. Floor rugs are cost effective. One good-quality, large rug can cover the majority of a living area for a fraction of the cost of carpet, which can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars per square metre.
2. Floor rugs are versatile. You can change its’ position as you redecorate, move it to another area of the house entirely, or even replace it with a new design extremely easily. This is in contrast to carpet which can be a major undertaking to remove or replace.
3. As can be expected with heavy use and the passage of time, just like carpet, floor rugs can become dirty. The great news is that floor rugs are much easier to clean than carpet, being able to be taken away for professional attention or you can just scrub it down outside. If you have a genuinely unremovable stain, unlike on carpet, a floor rug can be repositioned so that the mark is no longer visible. Many mums and dads wish they were able to do this with their carpet!
